Volunteer Club

15 Feb 2026

The Volunteers Club is a student-led organization dedicated to promoting volunteerism, leadership, and social responsibility within the university and the wider community. It was officially established on 17 November 2023 and was founded by Helen Hiwa, a Batch 2 Dental Surgery student within Faculty of Dental Surgery, who continues to lead the club as its Head and President. The club was created with the vision of building a structured, disciplined, and impactful volunteering platform for students. Since its founding, it has grown significantly and currently includes 315 active members, making it one of the most active and influential student organizations within the faculty.

From the very beginning, the club has provided consistent and comprehensive support to the faculty and university. We have contributed to every school visit, seminar, conference, symposium, and major academic event, in addition to orientations, admissions days, cultural festivals, charity initiatives, medical meetings, and graduation ceremonies. For each of these events, the Volunteers Club has supplied trained volunteers to assist with organization, coordination, guest reception, logistics, documentation, and media coverage, ensuring smooth and professional execution.

Our role extends beyond simple assistance. The club functions as an operational backbone for many faculty activities, offering structured support through clearly assigned teams responsible for communication, documentation, media, and on-ground management. This organized system ensures efficiency, discipline, and high standards in every event we support.

In addition to faculty engagement, the club is actively involved in community service and charitable initiatives aimed at creating meaningful social impact while fostering personal and professional development among members. Through volunteering, students enhance their leadership, teamwork, communication, and organizational skills while contributing positively to both their academic environment and society.

Today, the Volunteers Club stands as a dynamic, reliable, and highly active institution within the university, a platform where students successfully balance academic excellence with service, responsibility, and leadership.
